The All India Muslim Personal Law Board
(AIMPLB) thrashed out an eight-point ‘code of conduct’ to be followed by the
community while pronouncing talaq (divorce). The board has also decided to
impose a ‘social boycott’ on those misusing the practice to dissolve a marriage
against 'Sharia' (Islamic law) rules.
