TRIPLE TALAQ (DIVORCE) BILL WOULD NOT GET THE NOD IN RAJYA SABHA, GOVERNMENT WILL INTRODUCE THE BILL DURING BUDGET SESSION

The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017 that seeks to criminalise instant triple talaq (divorce) with a provision of stringent punishment for the accused husband, could not be tabled in Rajya Sabha on the last day of the Winter Session of Parliament on Friday. So, the Central government has decided to introduce it during the budget session that begins on January 29, 2018.
