CLAUSE IN NIKAHNAMA TO PREVENT MAN FROM TRIPLE TALAQ (DIVORCE) PRACTICE

Qazis across the country have to insert a clause in the nikahnama (Islamic marriage contract) which prevents a man from pronouncing instant triple talaq (divorce), an advisory issued by the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). The move comes after the Supreme Court suggestion to make a law to reduce triple talaq (divorce) practice.
